News Polite
Editorial standards
Accuracy, clarity, attribution and visible corrections are the foundation of News Polite.
Verification
Breaking reports are attributed to the organisations or people providing the information. We avoid presenting a claim as independently confirmed when it is not.
Original writing
We do not copy source articles. We verify facts, consult primary material where possible, write independently and link readers to the sources behind our work.
AI-assisted work
AI may assist with drafts and production, but published reporting requires source review, fact checks and editorial approval. Generated images are labelled as illustrations.
